23 April 2004 : Edinburgh
Last night I watched the advanced screenings for Kill Bill 2 at the plush Odeon in Lothian Road with my cousin Queeny! The movie was great yet some scenes were gruesome as you'd expect with any Tarantino movie. Watch out for bearded chinese guy, you'll hear the whole audience laughing. Earlier that day, we went to Deep Sea World, North Queensferry, where we encountered Sharks, Eels... we even found Nemo! Had a few drinks at The Three Sisters bar in Edinburgh, it's one of the best bars I've ever been and is a must visit for any visitor! I've been having dizzy spells lately, just pops out of nowhere and I feel like I'm just about to faint! Why's that?! Generally, it's been a good week in Edinburgh, finally got my TV and Sega Mega Drive (yes, I'm still behind time)! Oh and I got a free haircut from my flatmates, after several persuations I gave in, but its pretty damn fine. Cheers.
18 April 2004 : A Better Tomorrow
For most of us, tomorrow is the next installment of our long awaited Student loan. For Davide, it's his grand ole 25th Birthday, Happy Birthday!! Also bestwishes to Judy and Karen who celebrated their birthdays days before. Hope you's enjoyed your night out, I certainly did, and we hope you like your very expensive presents from the group.
Just a note to inform you that you can no longer use the ph2o.co.uk website address as that has now finally been sold off! I wonder what kind of site it will turn into. It's now just under 2 months of living in Edinburgh left and just under 5 months before I start my round the world trip!!! I want to spend a day with all you guys, so I've organised a day trip to war, click here...!!!!!!
10 April 2004 : Happy Birthday Tony
Its been a very busy week, birthdays, group meetings, night outs - both in Edinburgh and Glasgow. I've barely had enough sleep! Spent the pass couple of days with my flatmate Eric who is now on my Friendster! We tried out the new Meadowood oriental coffee shop just around the block, it sells Pearl Iced Tea, Dim Sum, Noodles... all in a very laid back, cafe style environment. Its nice there, Eric is convinced its going to be his usual hangout. Been there two days in a row so far and have tried the Pearl Vanilla and Pearl Milk Tea. Made me think of opening my own shop in Glasgow. Heehee...!!! I know Judy is thinking the same too, we could work together, or even more fun, rival each other! I also thought of a smart, cool, intelligent and stylish, trendy name - 'Phili'! Feck this personal shite, I'd turn this into my company website! Not a bad idea right? It's gonna be modern as f*ck and there will be a couple of branches starting in Glasgow. Watch this space... Big cheers to Manchi who sent me some photos, as you may know, I'm having problems uploading photos from my camera due to no access to the net. However, will do my best in updating this site regularly as well as putting new photos up. No promises! Please keep donating your photos, or cash! And don't forget to Sign My Guestbook - you earn my loyalty and trust! Last but not least,
Happy Birthday to Tony who is 23 years younger today! Anyone up for clubbin @ Bamboo tomorrow nite? Geeza call or phone Nikki and arrange a meeting time.
07 April 2004 : Happy Birthday Jenny
Recovering from an alchy fuelled birthday night out which sent me into major illness late last night and I couldny sleep for hours!!!
Today is actually Jenny's 21st so a big Happy Birthday to our Jen. The night started of in Bunker followed by our usual club spot, Blanket. Jen, who we all know does not handle her drinks very well managed to somehow get into Blanket. She was a star, and proudly told everyone that we shared the same bed! Well nae wonder eh!
Great night, nice to see all good friends once again. Here's to more night outs!!! (Judy's Birthday, Tiger Tiger - next Thursday 15/4)
As you can see, no sign of detox, I abandoned this on Day 2, it all started in Cafe India!!! Congratulations to Davide for successfully passing the McDonalds Exam!!! Hope you enjoyed our tour around Glasgow. Also, anyone feel free to donate me photos. The Gallery is going slow this is due to no access to the net at home, and yes, they take damn ages to make! Links to friend's site and some rather useful ones are now available on the bottom left hand corner of this page. Enjoy your stay.
03 April 2004 : Happy Easter
Hey folks, back in Glasgow... David's pad right now. As soon as I step foot off the train, I questioned myself, "Is there any point going home?"
Edinburgh's been fun, never a dull moment! Leaving my flatmate feels like leaving my brother behind! And my friends... I've had such a great time whether its been clubbing, drinking, or even doing 'little' uni work! The weather's been great. I walk pass the park nearly everyday which overlooks the Castle! Got a friend coming down on Monday! Started detox today, so no alcohol for the next 5 days, I'm determined to do this so please, nobody stop me. Also, Happy Birthday to Jenny who celebrates her 21st Birthday on 7th April, tho the party kicks off this Tues at Bunker. Now as I'm her Squat Bro(!), I'll be there, sober ofcourse (detox), got group meeting the next day, in a pub! Means no work I guess, but any excuse will do... tho I won't be drinking! (detox)
29 March 2004 : Update In Edinburgh
Well guess who I bumped into on my way into uni? My stalker! I was dreading this would happen! Stalker said and I quote, "You look better". Is that a good thing? Hehe! Well atleast I managed to make it to the computer lab safe and now I am just keeping a look out. Got loads of work to do and have'ny really started! Gonna try and do some before I head out tonight!! Been out constantly up here in Edinburgh, I'm lovin' the city more each day. It's such a good lookin' city!
I got a letter from Napier Accomodation demanding I pay my arrears! Bastards! So now I am skint all over again! The flat was stinking, puke all over the toilets, anyone reading this should feel priviledged they have the comfort of their lovely home. Got the Al Green album, though I really like his version of Unchained Melody and it's not on the friggin' album! It's an ace track, very chilled!
Incase you don't know, my email is philico@o2.co.uk so save it in your Address Books! Get loads of spam so apologies for late replies!
26 March 2004 : The Weekend Has Just Begun / Plane Tickets Paid
The weekend is just begining, today we paid our Round The World Ticket at STA Travel. So my full year Travel is definately going on!!!
Also, to celebrate this, we headed over to the trendy Tinderbox Cafe and got three cakes between the two of us. Top marks to all of them!! Aberdeen last weekend, this week I'm heading back to Edinburgh for some serious partying. I keep thinking I am leaving so it's a must to make the most of everything that involves your friends and family, I'm gonna miss everyone and everything! As you can see, I've suspended my detox plans, will do this next week, or the week after.
22 March 2004 : Aberdeen Weekend / Hangover
Helloo all, did ya miss me? I had an ace time in Aberdeen over the weekend. Stayed in the good hospitality of me friend, Mark's home - was treated like a king! Aberdeen was lovely, shopping was probably better than Edinburgh but nothing beats our lovely Glasgow in that category. Aberdeen reminds me of Ayr, but a much bigger version of it. The beach was amazing. Such a pictorial city. My friend had the car so we went everywhere (everywhere!!!), the outskirts of Aberdeen was amazing too, we drove up mountains to places that could only grow Heather and those christmas tree's. Honestly, its like the ones you see on postcards, it is the selling point of Scotland. A little hard as I only knew my friend but he introduced to some nice people. When night approaches, we headed out to the pub and clubs. Two night in a row was probably too much for me and I am in no way as good a drinker as Mark! Cheers for a good weekend mate!
Now after all that drinking, detoxing is in the cards. A few people I know have taken or are taking it up, Nikki (I doubt she even started) and my flatmate Eric, he's taking up this five-day-detox plan which I am also gonna take up. Apparently, you take these tablets and liquid and it helps flush out all the crap we take! Tho, in the end, we might become a lightweight, which is good in a way.
Thanks for all your emails over the weekend. I've had two emails from friends who 'envy' me, that is such a nice word - cheers!
I would never have thought of being envied for. Though I really appreciate your support on my Travel - just 6 months to go!

14 March 2004 : The Weekend's Nearly Over
Sunday night, back home in East Kilbride, just thought I'd give this site abit of Spring Cleaning as I get ready to battle another week in Edinburgh. Last week I was approached by a stranger, nothing more said but that just about freaked me!. My mum finally comes back from Holiday, I've spent alot of money trying to feed my brother besides myself. On Friday, I am going up to Aberdeen to meet a friend who dropped out of uni in Autumn. I hope it's good and not just sheeps.
